In order to specialise in the core competence of domestic technology we sell the Industrial Fittings Division. In the same year we launch the Setter Bypass SD. This patented innovation sets new standards in the hydraulic balancing of heating systems without additional measuring equipment.
1997
Strong market growth in Germany leads to the founding of TACONOVA GmbH in Singen. The German company, TACONOVA GmbH, is one of the first foreign subsidiaries of OSTACO AG since the takeover by the AVIA Group. In addition to efficient sales activities, customer proximity, flexibility and product safety are the main sales arguments for TACONOVA customers.
1996
In Velesin in the Czech Republic we establish the subsidiary, OSTACO s.r.o. The entire finishing process still takes place in this assembly plant under joint Swiss and Czech management. Complete fittings, sub-systems, etc. are made from individual components. All finished products are then checked and sent to the central distribution centre in Singen, Germany to be shipped around the world.
1995
As part of the company’s expansion into the market, LAMACO Ltd is founded in England as a wholly owned subsidiary of OSTACO AG.
1994
The takeover of Taco Armaturen AG by AVIA Osterwalder AG and the simultaneous use of the introduced brand name, TACO, give rise to the new company name, OSTACO AG.
1992
Heating energy and heating technology form a successful partnership. For the purposes of diversification, to create synergies and to pool resources, AVIA Osterwalder AG, Zurich takes over Armaturen AG. AVIA is a pan-European company comprising independent filling stations and suppliers of heating oil, with its headquarters in Switzerland.
