BESA tested and UK registered

The TacoTherm Dual Zepto has been independently tested to the BESA UK HIU Test Regime and is listed on the BESA HIU Test Register. Testing was carried out by Enertek International, a UKAS-accredited laboratory, on a production sample.

On a 70°C network the unit recorded a domestic hot water Volume Weighted Average Return Temperature (VWART) of 17°C, against a BESA pass threshold of 20°C, with a maximum hot water output of 42.0 kW. It also passed on a 55°C primary network at 36.1 kW, supporting heat-pump-led and lower temperature schemes.

For heat network operators, low return temperatures reduce flow rates, pumping energy and distribution losses, improving overall plant efficiency. With Ofgem now regulating heat networks and technical standards following, specifiers are increasingly asked to evidence performance rather than assert it.
