Digital portals & Self-service management
A core part of the Taconova offering is the fully digitalised self-service portal ecosystem, which caters to both end-users (residents) and clients (network operators or property managers). These portals and tools provide real-time access to data and enable many tasks to be handled online, improving transparency and user experience for all stakeholders.
Resident Portal & App
An intuitive online portal (and optional mobile app) for residents/tenants to manage their utility accounts. Through the Resident Portal, an individual can view their consumption history, view and download bills, and make payments easily for either credit accounts or prepayment top-ups. The interface is user-friendly and available 24/7, allowing users to top-up their heat account or pay a bill anytime, anywhere – for example, via a smartphone app or web browser. Providing residents with on-demand access to their usage data not only improves customer satisfaction, but also encourages energy conservation. In fact, giving consumers visibility into their consumption has been proven to help reduce overall energy usage, which in turn lowers the operational costs of the heat network. Residents also have access to support resources and FAQs through the portal, and they can update account details (or even notify move-ins/move-outs) through self-service forms. This digital-first approach empowers residents and reduces the number of routine queries coming to property management.
Client Portal & Reporting Dashboard
For clients (e.g. property managers , landlords, or housing providers), there is a robust Client Portal that delivers full visibility and control over your metering and billing operations. This secure portal (available 24/7) consolidates data from all meters across your portfolio and presents it in a clear dashboard format. You can view all meter readings in one place, monitor consumption trends at the building or network level, and access financial reports on billing and collections. The portal’s self-service reporting tools let you drill down into site-level or even unit-level data: for instance, you can run reports on energy usage per building, revenue collected per month, or identify properties with unusual consumption patterns. All of this data is updated in near real-time, since our smart metering system feeds the latest readings into the platform continuously.
Through the client portal, you effectively have live visibility of how your network is performing: It shows heat network performance metrics such as average vs. target flow/return temperatures, heat losses, and other efficiency indicators. This goes hand-in-hand with the Heat Network Performance Monitoring Tool – a specialised part of the platform that uses advanced analytics to help optimise your system’s performance. Using remote monitoring and data analysis, the tool can track system performance trends, detect faults or inefficiencies (e.g. identifying if a particular HIU or substation is not operating optimally), and even suggest adjustments. For example, by analysing return temperatures and flow rates, it can highlight imbalances and help you adjust valve settings or pump controls to optimise heat distribution across the network. The aim is to not only bill accurately, but also to help you run a more efficient heat network. By tracking performance in real time, issues can be identified early – reducing energy waste, improving resident comfort, and preventing costly downtime.
Both portals are designed with modern, responsive interfaces and robust security. Role-based access can be configured so that, for instance, a managing agent can see all sites they oversee, while an individual building owner might only see their building’s data. The data and reporting capabilities we offer ensure transparent access to both financial and energy data, including efficiency metrics for your network. This level of insight builds trust with stakeholders and aids in decision-making (for example, planning maintenance or upgrades based on usage patterns). Importantly, our client portal also assists with compliance – providing the data and reports you need for regulatory submissions or performance benchmarking.
